A virtual ceremony has been scheduled to recognize 2021 BASW, MSW, and PhD graduates of the UI School of Social Work, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14.

The online ceremony includes graduating students from Iowa City, Des Moines, and the FIRST EVER graduating class of our Online MSW Program. Participating graduates' names will be read, and we will announce the recipients of our annual Directors' Award for outstanding students, selected by faculty vote.

Dr. Sara Sanders, former director of the school and current Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), will deliver the welcome. School of Social Work Director Mercedes Bern-Klug, PhD, will deliver the keynote address, and each participating graduate has been given the option of making a statement.

The virtual ceremony will be shown as a premiere on the School's YouTube channel.
