We are raising funds during National Social Work Month to directly support our Students of Color through the School of Social Work Diversity Scholarship. You can help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to support 5 deserving students in the next school year—not only by making a donation but also inspiring others to give through your generous example.

We hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch this video from current BA student Claudia Artola, one of this year’s scholarship recipients, who shares her experience and expresses why scholarship support is so important.

We are aware now, more than ever, of the critical need to build a diverse workforce in our profession, ensuring that social workers in our communities are just as diverse as the people they serve. We know that the cost of higher education can be a major barrier to students of color who may wish to pursue this line of work.

By making a gift now, YOU can help reduce that burden for one of our current students.

Your donation today will help provide scholarships we plan to distribute as soon as possible—so your generosity now can directly help a Social Work student in the very next academic year. A gift of any size will help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to provide five scholarships for five deserving students, right here in the UI School of Social Work.

Once you’ve made your donation, spread the word! We hope that you will share the campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues, inviting them to support our school and our students.

Happy National Social Work Month!
