As Program and Admissions Administrator, Kate Kemp supports the Ph.D., M.S.W., and B.A. program directors; and distance education director in planning and administering those programs. She interprets and implements University, College, School, and CSWE policies and procedures; oversees B.A. and M.S.W. admissions; assists with program assessment; and supports student advising, advancement, and graduation processes.

Admissions and Program Coordinator

Tomeka Petersen assists the Program and Admissions Administrator to promote and help prepare prospective students for the B.A., M.S.W. and Ph.D. programs.  She also provides advising to B.A./M.S.W. students and supports enrolled students and faculty of all UI School of Social Work Learning Centers.

Des Moines and Online Program Coordinator

Christy Thies promotes and helps prepare prospective students for the M.S.W. programs in Des Moines and Online, as well as supports enrolled students, faculty, and other aspects of the Des Moines and Online programs.

 

Chuck Wieland

Chuck Wieland administers the operations of the School of Social Work, including preparing budgets and overseeing financial accounts. He also oversees research assistantship and teaching assistantship appointments, other departmental financial aid and award processes, and can provide information regarding funding for student research projects.

Wynne supports our School Director & Administrator, Faculty Promotion & Tenure Processing, Department Calendaring, Procurement, and Admissions department. She manages Space & Equipment for North Hall areas that belong to the school.
