Lauryn Muzny, MSW, MACJ, is a social work researcher focused on judicial system reform for children and families. She holds an MSW and an MA in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University and a BS in Business Administration/Non-Profit Administration from Fresno Pacific University.

Lauryn has held direct service, research, and leadership roles in domestic violence and human trafficking advocacy, child welfare, and court administration. She is currently a PhD student in social work at the University of Iowa, with research interests at the intersection of policy, research, and court administration. Her work examines the impact of attorney advocacy and judicial interactions on child in need of assistance (CINA) outcomes, particularly reunification and families' experiences, with the goal of improving outcomes for children and families involved in the court system.

In her free time, Lauryn enjoys playing softball, gardening, and traveling.
