Sioux City and the surrounding areas of northwestern Iowa, northeastern Nebraska and southeastern South Dakota are sometimes referred to as Siouxland. Classes for our part-time, 3-year MSW program take place at Briar Cliff University, and the program focuses on building upon the resilience and ingenuity of indigenous people, new immigrants, and others committed to social justice.

The Sioux City location offers the graduate Master of Social Work degree.

The Sioux City program is administered by the School of Social Work, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education, Center for Credit Programs. It is housed at Briar Cliff University, a Catholic liberal arts college, and is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
